Maintenance of more thn 1400 shops, 22 Primary Schools, 8 Dispensaries, 5 Gardens, 28 Pumprooms, 16 Traffic circles, 4 Water Works, Olympic Size Swimming Pool, Vegetable Market and Nagarpalika Building is done by Public Works Department.
     Maintenance of Roads and Storm water drain is the responsibility of Public Works Department. More over tree plantation and divider ad removing encroachment is the responsibility of public works department.
